Timo Glock took the VR-01 for a shakedown at Silverstone on Thursday. The ex-Toyota driver got his first taste of the Virgin car, designed using only CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).

This will be the teams first run to see if the car behaves as expected.

Lucas di Grassi will take over the reins on Friday for a longer test session, before they join the other teams in Jerez on Wednesday 10th.
