Mercedes has released the first audio of its new V6 power unit which will debut next season in the rear of the Mercedes, McLaren, Force India and Williams cars.

The audio is a recording of a dyno lap of the Monza circuit, synced up with an onboard lap from their development simulator.

Whilst it gives a good indication of what the cars will sound like, Mercedes engine chief Any Cowell insists the on-track noise will differ slightly.
