Force India to Have KERS by Mid-July
03/05/2009

Vijay mallya.Force India boss, Vijay Mallya, has announced that his team will be running the KERS system by mid-July.

The system, the same one that is currently being used by the McLarens, will be installed onto the VJM002 for the ninth round of the 2009 championship - the Nurburgring.

Speaking to GP Week Mallya said: "In Germany we will introduce KERS because the car is KERS enabled and we have a contract with Mercedes for the KERS."

The Bahrain Grand-Prix, last week, saw eight cars on the grid use the system - they were comprised of the McLarens, the Ferraris, Renault and BMW Sauber.  However, Mallya thinks that the best time to introduce the system to Force India is deffinatly after the mid-way point.

"By that time the KERS will have been sorted out, McLaren will use their experience and KERS will have been debugged - if there were any bugs," he explained.
